The other day, we stopped by a local bakery to get my mom a birthday cake she specifically wanted from that bakery. We've passed it a million times and never stopped. I don't know why; I guess it's just more convenient to grab something at Target for my daughter's co-op snack while we're already buying other things than make an additional stop.
The bakery is the place to try a plethora of treats for under a buck each (or slightly over $1) and the difference between a mom and pop bakery and the one in the grocery store is absolutlely mind-blowing. We are talking homemade flavor, care and even beauty. It's amazing what care is put into every treat, and it's even fun just to look and see what's there.
