If you're ever in the mood for both a brownie and a cookie but can't make a decision, it's definitely brookie time. A brookie is a combination between a brownie and a cookie, combining the best of both worlds. You can even customize a brookie with a swirl of cinnamon, raspberry jam or caramel, top it with some salt or other fun additions to satisfy your cravings.
When I'm deep into keto, I don't really have many sugar cravings, but there are times when I do still want a taste of something sweet-ish. When I crave chocolate, I'll usually buy a chocolate bar that's mostly cacao, which does the job. If I don't have access to a store, I'll whip this mousse up. My version is a little easier, but the recipe here's still easy if you want cinnamon!
While I'm not a huge fan of adding a lot of citrus to savory foods, I love me some citrus cake and desserts. The other day I had a lemon-blueberry bar that was pretty much Heaven in your mouth, and I will always love orange-chocolate flavor combinations. Both are my favorite flavors of ice cream/gelato, too.
If you just want something green this St. Patrick's Day, you won't have to work very hard. You can always just get some green macrarons, a Shamrock shake or some of that terrible green popcorn that so many grocery stores sell. But if you want to whip up a little something special to celebrate with friends and family, there are lots of fun things you can make, too.
There are endless ideas for a healthier-for-you ice cream. Many people like to freeze grapes and pop them, while others freeze and mash up bananas for "ice cream." Then, of course, there are various custards and yogurts made with healthier alternatives, depending on what healthier means for your body type and unique nutritional needs.
If you've never made a fat bomb, you're in for a treat: they're quick, easy and delicious. While they might seem daughting because they are full of fat and meant to keep you full on a ketogenic way of life, you can always modify them to work with your own lifestyle. The best thing about fat bombs is that they essentially all follow the same pattern: you blend all of their ingredients together, pour them in bite-sized molds and freeze them. In a few hours, they're ready!
Strictly speaking, dips aren't actually dessert material unless they're of the sweet variety, but for those who prefer savory bites, a dip can make a fantastic end-of-meal treat or a snack on its own with your favorite dippables, whether they be pita chips, crisps, pretzels or vegetables. I've always been a dip lover and have enjoyed dips my whole life, so I'll often take a good savory dip over a sweet one any day. Ranch and French onion are some of my all-time favorites, and both are so much better when made with fresh ingredients.
Are you a fan of cakes made in mugs? How about quick fat bombs, cheesecakes and other fast desserts? If so, you're like me, so welcome. I LOVE sweets, but I don't love the carbs or calories, not to mention the time it takes to put many sweet dishes together. So when I read about these blender cupcakes that are not only easy to make but also keto-friendly, I figured why not try them?
What is it about camping that makes every bite taste better? I think a plain baloney sandwich is amazing when I'm camping! It's probably because we work so hard all day just to, you know, exist, so you're just hungrier. Camping desserts are even more scrumptious! Have you ever had Dutch oven peach cobbler? Oh my...
Anytime I smell coconut, I get a craving for my favorite coffee, which is coconut oil with cinnamon and cream. YUM. Cinnamon is my favorite sweet these days, which is weird since I normally only like it during the holidays. I've come across some really yummy cinnamon recipes and wanted to share some with you.
