I've been hosting monthly teen parties for a few years and if there's anything I've learned, it's that teens can eat a LOT! We usually have enough as long as everyone brings something to share, and it's always fun to make something cute or exciting that you know they'll enjoy eating. Hearing them exclaim over a treat is one of my favorite parts, and while I'm not always able to make something homemade, I do try to when I can.

It's almost time for the biggest pumpkin pie day of the year and I am so ready for it. Pumpkin pie is one of my absolute favorite treats! I even get it at our local frozen custard shop (they blend it in with vanilla ice cream AND top it with some of the pie!). But I've been reading about a bunch of different variations on the classic and I must admit that they have me intrigued. Sure, I've tried pumpkin pie shake, but what about...
Are you a sprinkles lover? I love the look of sprinkles, but when it comes to taste, I have to say that I'm a bit picky! I don't like those tiny beaded hard sprinkles, for example, but I like the softer, more elongated sprinkles, and I had no idea that they are so easy to make. If you've never made sprinkles, or if you need some but all you have is icing, you might want to check out this video.
Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away! Are you in panic mode yet? In my family, everyone brings dishes to share so the load isn't all on one person (although my mom tends to take on more), and we all live within half an hour of one another so it doesn't make it too difficult. That makes it fairer, but it also gives us all more time to enjoy each other's company and play hilarious games.
My family and I had a blast at Tim Burton Trivia Night last week where we won some really fun cups and a Funko Pop Beetlejuice, and now I've got Burton fever like never before. Sure, I have my Halloweentown stuff out year-round, but I've been wearing my favorite grey and black striped cardigan every day and have to stop myself from trying to float around the kitchen singing "Day-O!" So I thought, how about some Tim Burton goodies to share and celebrate with?
With Halloween coming up just around the corner, many of us are thinking about what kinds of sweets and treats we can not only give out to trick-or-treaters, but at our various work, school and personal gatherings. Fudge is usually a great choice, given how many people love chocolate, and if no one is allergic to any of the ingredients, why not make some Halloween fudge?
This Friday is my kiddo's annual Halloween teen party, which means pumpkin chuckin', costumes and lots of treats! We have a monthly teen night already, but the Halloween one is always the most popular event. This year I'd like to offer up some yummy themed goodies without paying too much. I'd love to have some Nightmare Before Christmas goodies, and while I found these great Jack pops that look very easy to make, I'd love some more ideas!
If there's anything I've learned while living a keto lifestyle, it's that cutting out sugar and carbs is really easy as long as you prepare, prepare, prepare. For some of us, that means it's really the opposite of easy, but if you have your ingredients and some time, you can make just about anything keto.
It's fall, y'all, even if it doesn't feel like it just yet! It's the season of cooler weather (eventually...), pumpkin patches, hayrides and apple picking. In short, it's the most wonderful time of the year! Many people set fall bucket lists for this time of year and include fall treats to enjoy, so my question is this: what fall goodies do you hope to have this season?
It's the season of all things pumpkin, but that doesn't mean that everything has to be complex--or that you have to venture out and spend a lot of money on desserts. In fact, if you have a bottle of pumpkin spice syrup or a spice mix on hand, you can pretty much make whatever you want. I like to blend pumpkin spice blends with my coffee and some cream or coconut milk for a frothy treat!
