How To Make Sprinkles

Are you a sprinkles lover? I love the look of sprinkles, but when it comes to taste, I have to say that I'm a bit picky! I don't like those tiny beaded hard sprinkles, for example, but I like the softer, more elongated sprinkles, and I had no idea that they are so easy to make. If you've never made sprinkles, or if you need some but all you have is icing, you might want to check out this video.

Thanksgiving Desserts

Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away! Are you in panic mode yet? In my family, everyone brings dishes to share so the load isn't all on one person (although my mom tends to take on more), and we all live within half an hour of one another so it doesn't make it too difficult. That makes it fairer, but it also gives us all more time to enjoy each other's company and play hilarious games.

Tim Burton Themed Desserts

My family and I had a blast at Tim Burton Trivia Night last week where we won some really fun cups and a Funko Pop Beetlejuice, and now I've got Burton fever like never before. Sure, I have my Halloweentown stuff out year-round, but I've been wearing my favorite grey and black striped cardigan every day and have to stop myself from trying to float around the kitchen singing "Day-O!" So I thought, how about some Tim Burton goodies to share and celebrate with?

Halloween Fudge

With Halloween coming up just around the corner, many of us are thinking about what kinds of sweets and treats we can not only give out to trick-or-treaters, but at our various work, school and personal gatherings. Fudge is usually a great choice, given how many people love chocolate, and if no one is allergic to any of the ingredients, why not make some Halloween fudge?

Nightmare Before Christmas Goodies

This Friday is my kiddo's annual Halloween teen party, which means pumpkin chuckin', costumes and lots of treats! We have a monthly teen night already, but the Halloween one is always the most popular event. This year I'd like to offer up some yummy themed goodies without paying too much. I'd love to have some Nightmare Before Christmas goodies, and while I found these great Jack pops that look very easy to make, I'd love some more ideas!

Super Easy Pumpkin Pudding

It's the season of all things pumpkin, but that doesn't mean that everything has to be complex--or that you have to venture out and spend a lot of money on desserts. In fact, if you have a bottle of pumpkin spice syrup or a spice mix on hand, you can pretty much make whatever you want. I like to blend pumpkin spice blends with my coffee and some cream or coconut milk for a frothy treat!

DIY Popsicles

Popsicles make me so nostalgic. How about you? I used to love chasing the ice cream truck with my dollar. I loved getting snow-cones, bomb pops, all kinds of goodies. Creamy popsicles were more expensive, but my parents would sometimes get them in bulk to have at home and OH that was a special day!

Best Sorbet Recipes

With berries ripe and fresh right now, it's the best time of year to get or make a good sorbet. I love sorbets made from just about every kind of berry, not to mention citrus versions. Lemon or orange? Be still, my heart. So I knew I had to pin this no-churn berry sorbet recipe, especially when I saw it was low-carb. As long as you have some sweetener, almond or walnut oil and your berries, you could totally make this.

Sewn Cake Art!

If a cake looked hand-sewn, would you want to eat it? This incredible cake artist makes cakes with different textures to appear as if they are needlepoint masterpieces rather than actual desserts you can eat--which they are! The artist also creates cool plants, like succulents, that you can eat on the cakes as well. The end project looks more like a garden or a stitched design rather than an actual cake!
